Bioterrorism

Bioterrorism is a type of terrorism in which biological agents like viruses, bacteria are released intentionally.

The majority of diseases used so far for the purpose of bioterrorism are anthrax and smallpox, which can be in different forms.

It has a big impact- these viruses can often cause epidemics and cause a lot a devastation. The viruses which are spread through water or air have ability to spread rapidly and contaminate large areas.

In 1995 in Tokyo ,the subway sarin attack took place which was done by members of cult movement by Aum Shinrikyo. Bioterrorism was also used shortly after WW1.
